MFT / Counseling Internships
*** 3/14/12 — We are no longer accepting MFT internship applications for the 2012-13 school year. Counseling applications for the 2013-2014 school year will be accepted in early January 2013 through early March 2013.
Counselors are a valuable resource and an integral part of Holden’s staff. The ever-evolving Counseling Program supports, challenges and enriches the lives of the students, their families and the staff here. MFT Interns and Trainees have the opportunity to work and learn with a supportive staff and with intriguing, questioning teenagers in an interdisciplinary community which emphasizes personal, social, creative and spiritual growth, as well as academic development.
We offer 1-2 year counseling internships for Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and Interns working with high school aged adolescents. MFT interns and trainees have the opportunity to provide individual, group and family counseling. In order to facilitate continuity, a feeling of belonging and effective scheduling, we ask counselors to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week over 3 or 4 days. Wednesdays are required for all.
