Graduation Requirements

So, how do I graduate?

Holden provides the educational curriculum that allows students to graduate and receive a high school diploma. To receive a California High School diploma, each student must complete a minimum of 240 credits between grades nine and twelve, including:

  • 4 years of English (40 credits)
  • 3.5 years of Math (35 credits)
  • 1.5 years of Science (15 credits)
  • 1 year of U.S. Studies (10 credits)
  • 1 year of World Studies (10 credits)
  • 1 semester of elective Social Science (5 credits)

To be a Senior

  • You need to have 70 or fewer credits to complete as of September, and no more than 12 credits to complete in any academic solid. All seniors must be enrolled no later than September 1 of their senior year.
  • All prior high school records must be in our hands no later than October 1 of senior year.

To Graduate, Each Senior Must Also Complete the Following Holden Requirements

  • One semester of School Energy
  • Yearly grade-level projects
  • Pass a community college class
  • 15 hours of community service per year during his or her Holden career
  • Take a life skills or college prep class
